London Concours: A day in the Capital
Last week we were extremely privileged to be presented with the opportunity to travel down to London, for the second day of the 2024 London Concours. Invited by Middleton Private Capital, we spent a few hours in the company of a unique array of Hypercars, Classics and some extremely rare vehicles, as well as some extraordinary people.
For those that haven’t yet had the chance to attend the Concours, it is extremely prestigious and everybody in attendance was in a great mood making the whole experience nothing but welcoming and pleasant.
Upon entering the HAC, we were greeted with a sight that takes a moment to soak in. Millions upon millions of pounds worth of cars, in a lush garden, surrounded by the climbing high-rise buildings of Central London.
Each day at the Concours has its own theme and with the Wednesday being the celebration of the Jaguar E-Type, there were over 50 on display (image 1), spanning every model of the British Classic imaginable.
In addition, the ‘Purple Reign’ display featured 1 of 2, Supercharged Lamborghini Diablo SE30’s, which won Best in Show for the event (image 2).
The Hypercar display, organised by Hypra Lusso and Apollo Capital, was one of the finest I have seen. Featuring a 1 of 9, Mclaren P1 HDK by Lanzante, a Ferrari Daytona SP3 and a Porsche 918 just to name a few, the eye was certainly drawn (Images 3-10).
One of the most interesting parts of the Concours however, are the people!
The cars are the headline, the main event, that goes without saying. That said, the Concours brings together some of the biggest names in the Automotive Industry, and for a Photographer such as myself, was a brilliant tool for networking.
Furthermore, the fashion and style on display was a site to behold, with all sorts of unique and wonderful people showing off their wardrobe, some even matching the cars (Images 11-18).
All in all, it was a brilliant day, and I can’t wait for the sister event, the Concours d’Elegance, later this year!
